We’ve had a wonderful time this weekend with Bruno, his wife Cathy, and a small team visiting us from our CTMI partner church in Paris.
Bruno shared on Saturday evening and Sunday morning on the importance of being begotten in the Gospel of the cross and becoming spiritual sons and daughters in the house of God.
The Sunday service was followed by a fellowship lunch of Mexican food and great times together!
The scriptures he touched on were:
“Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you to imitate me. 17 For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.”
1 Cor 4:14-17
“Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”
“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”
