“As I obey God, as I lay down my life on the altar, as I become that living sacrifice for Christ, there is resurrection life to follow.
As we approach the cross, sometimes we become weary and want to pull back. But the Lord needs to mature us, He needs to work in us and bring us to be people that identify with Him in his sufferings, in his death and in his resurrection! There’s resurrection life after the cross! But for us to experience that resurrection life we need to walk in obedience to God.
And the Bible tells us that the promises of God are yes and amen! And what He says and what He declares is his heart and it doesn’t change. God’s plan, God’s calling doesn’t change. His calling – what He’s called us to, that is irrevocable. The Lord doesn’t wake up in a different mood every morning. He never sleeps, He never slumbers. He is always at work. And what He declared from the foundation of the world about us, each one of us, even before we were conceived in our mother’s womb, He holds fast to that! And His Word doesn’t change. And His Word will not change. The world can change, we as humans can change, but God is consistent. That’s why we can trust Him, that’s why we can have faith in Him because He is a solid foundation on whom we can build our lives. And what He has spoken, His Word, will never return to Him void.”
