Youth Camp – The righteousness in our lives

Camp was from Friday 10th to Monday 13th of June.

Romans 8 : 28-30

In the verse 30 “Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”, Jocelyn explains that God does not have a past, present & future, but in His heart He has already glorified us in His Glorious plan through Jesus Christ, but that it is for us to keep the faith.

He explained the difference between unrighteousness, which the condition of heart in which men / women do what is wrong in the eyes of God even though they don’t want to do it, and sin which is the action itself. He stresses on the fact that we are called, even in our weaknesses to live and walk into the righteousness of God, which is a choice we have.

In Romans 6:15-22, Paul says “ Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?”

Brother Jocelyn encouraged us to become slaves of God so as be able to walk into righteousness otherwise we will try to please God in our own strength, own way, which means living under law and condamnation because it is impossible to please Him without His righteousness.
