Morning walks are an amazing way to start the day!

If you were to incorporate this uplifting habit into your life, would you rather spend half an hour in the park, observing the beautiful nature or going for a wander along the beach?

Either way, when we do this, we can’t help but stand amazed at the work of God in creation. God is a great artist and He says that we are His best artwork. We are His MASTERPIECE!

Are we always aware of this truth as we go through life? Absolutely not!

In light of this, I invite you to stop for a minute and think… what thoughts do you usually have toward yourself? As we look at ourselves and at our lives, we tend to quickly spot the areas which need to be changed. We can even tell ourselves that we are not good enough to do things which we would absolutely love to do. But scripture tells us otherwise:

“For you are God’s MASTERPIECE, created anew in Christ Jesus to do the good things He planned for you long ago”

Ephesians 2:10, NLT

God is the greatest artist of all time and YOU and ME are His Masterpieces! WOW, isn’t that an amazing truth to be aware of? But… What does it mean to be a masterpiece?

A masterpiece is unique, special and designed with love to the smallest detail, for a purpose. This is true of YOU and of ME! And as we believe this we can live boldly, assured of our value and beauty in Jesus. So, don’t waste time being side-tracked by any negative thoughts about yourself. You are not ‘too this’ or ‘too that’ and you do not need to be ‘more this’ or ‘more that’. You are enough! You do not need to be perfect, for Jesus alone was perfect and He has paid the full price for your imperfection by dying at the cross for the forgiveness of your sins. Today, we can live freely; free from expectations, free from perfection, free from pressure. For God has created you exactly the way you are for a great purpose and He will equip you to accomplish that will.

I pray that each day we may be filled with praise for who God is and for who we are in Him. May we always remember that we are the work of the master’s hands. We are His masterpiece!
