Stay in the ‘right place’

What a special time we’ve had with Pastor Neil from our CTMI partner church in Florida!
We had a two day seminar where Neil encouraged us to stay “in the right place” which is the perfect place the Lord has chosen for us to serve Him. The only way to know the Will of God is by submitting our lives every day, dying to ourselves, taking up our cross and allowing the work of God in our lives! (Psalm 16:5, John 4:34)
(Proverbs 15:22, Proverbs 11:14).
Neil spoke about the danger of being independent and refusing to submit to those in authority whether at work, at home or in the church.
This means that it is important to submit to the authority that God has placed above us, with a humble and loving heart, ready to serve and give our lives for the people around us.
When we are in the place God has designated for us, we can stay well & in faith even in difficult times. (Example of Abraham in Hebrews 11:8-10)
He also explained that true submission in the church is not ‘man-made’ for manipulation or control over our lives but ‘God-made’ – only for our good (Hebrews 13:17, Ephesians 5:22).
He encouraged us not to pretend to be someone the Lord has not called us to be in the church, but instead to take our place and do the things the Lord is calling us to do. Nothing that the Lord calls us to do is insignificant, but each member has its own role in the body and we need each other (1 Corinthians 12:18).
We have been very encouraged and challenged by Neil’s messages as we have felt the heart of the Lord for His church: to bring order and remind us to do all things  with His heart, in love.
Join us on Thursday 5th July for another seminar with Neil just before our Youth Camp (6-9th July). Exciting times ahead!
